What Spike Stream is

Spike Stream is a volleyball scoring app and this companion site. Someone at the match — usually a coach or a parent — records each play on their phone. Everyone else sees the score update as it happens, here or in the app, and the statistics compute themselves.

Following a team

You don't need an account to watch. Live and upcoming games are on the home page, and any game links through to its full box score and play-by-play.

An account is only needed for things tied to a person: following specific teams so they follow you across devices, claiming a player profile, or managing a roster.

Why do box scores show numbers instead of names?

Because this site is public and many of the players are minors. Anyone can read it without signing in, so the public version identifies players by jersey number. Names are visible to signed-in app users. There's more on this in the privacy policy.

Getting the app

The app is in testing and not yet on the App Store. If you coach or score for a team and want in, email support@spike.stream and we'll send you a TestFlight invitation.

Something is wrong with a score or a stat

Scores come from whoever is scoring the match, and corrections are made in the app — a manager can edit a game after the fact and the statistics recompute. If a game looks wrong here and the team can't fix it, tell us which game and what's off.

Removing a player, photo or game

Managers can delete rosters, players and games from inside the app. Players and parents can ask us directly, with no account needed — email support@spike.stream with the team and jersey number, and we'll confirm when it's done.
